Nippon Cargo Airlines is resuming flights to Europe with services to Amsterdam and Milan starting again on 5 October.

The Japanese airline suspended all services in June due to maintenance issues after inappropriate records concerning the lubricating oil supply for an aircraft at Tokyo’s Narita International Airport was uncovered.

Services started again on 5 July with flights to Shanghai’s Pudong Airport and the airline also restarted services to Chicago on 28 September, and flights to Hong Kong have also resumed.

The airline says operations for all the other aircraft will resume as soon as safety is confirmed and preparations for flights are completed.

In a statement on Nippon Cargo Airlines’ website, the airline says: “We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience and concern that we caused our customers. We will do our utmost effort to check safety for resuming operation as quickly as possible.”
